This isn't listed anywhere though, and is purely based on observation. Also to keep in mind that not all weapons have the same reload times. Most people prefer the Vengeance for end game questing as it can switch targets. Critical hits will act like single fire weapons. If you kill the enemy with this type of weapon, and there are more chunks remaining, it will switch to a new enemy to deal the remaining damage. Multi fire weapons do damage over several chunks (hits). Dragon's Maw is the best single fire weapon. The actual animation of the weapon does not matter at all.

This is basically the default of most weapons.

Single fire weapons deal damage in a single chunk. If there's one enemy, the weapon will deal full damage to that enemy. Fire hydrant bat is the best melee weapon.ĪOE weapons deal damage to all enemies in the battle, dividing damage between them. You can use this to put stronger dwellers against bosses, who do a lot of damage. Melee weapons will "tank" whoever the dweller is targeting by locking in that enemy to the dweller, no matter who it was attacking previously. There are four types of weapons on quests: melee, AOE, single fire, and multi fire.
